Jim Ellis and his wife Nancy answered the call to lead Buckingham Community Church in June of 2020. With a love for God's Word, and a passion for authentic Christian community, Jim and Nancy are excited to lead the people of Buckingham into a growing relationship with Jesus.
Jim and Nancy live in Buckingham and have one son, Mark, who is in college.
On your first visit, you can expect to be welcomed and accepted as you are. You will be greeted with warm, smiling faces and fresh coffee. There's no dress code, we like you just the way you are. Some people dress up, some people wear jeans, and others wear shorts. Just come how you're comfortable.
Our hope is simply that you know that you matter and you belong.
Every Sunday, you will enjoy a teaching from the Bible that is roughly 30-40 minutes long and is designed to be inspirational and applicable to your life today. You will be educated and motivated to become a more devoted follower of Jesus.
Services begins with an intimate time of worship through music,
children's classes are temporarily suspended due to covid 19.
We are praying that we will be able to start up again shortly
We hope to see you this Sunday at 10am!
Not ready to attend yet? Watch us live online before you come in person! Sunday mornings at 10am.
It’s all about Jesus. Period. We exist to lead people toward the reality of Jesus and nowhere else. There is no other idea, concept, practice, belief or doctrine more important than the powerful simplicity of placing faith in and following Jesus.
In everything we do, whether prayer, preaching, worship, outreach or fellowship, it is always our main goal to use every opportunity in order to help people take steps closer to Jesus.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves. (Philippians 2:3 NIV)
A bedrock of the Christian faith is a focus on others. Jesus gave His life for the world and invites us to follow Him and do the same. We shall endeavor to be unselfish in all we do. Rather than focusing on our preferences and our needs, we shall focus on Jesus first, others second, and ourselves last.
We don’t want to just do church together, we want to do life together.
Our leadership strives to hold a biblical position concerning sin, the authority of Scripture, the divinity of Christ, the Godhead, the Tribulation, Judgement Day and eternity. We believe All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
We teach the whole Bible in its entirety.
